PRODUCER-SONGWRITER-COMPOSER-KEYBOARDIST

About Me

Pablo Amat is a New Orleans based artist, songwriter, composer and keyboardist. He has composed music for suspense, drama and sci-fi films as well as written pop, rock, funk and jazz music.

His story starts all the way across the Atlantic, in Spain. He was born and raised in Madrid with 2 younger brothers and a loving home. His father was a musician and his mother a fashion designer, making it a very art driven household. He started piano lessons at the age of 7 which at this point, music wasn't important to him yet.

At the age of 10, his family and him had to move to Miami due to a big economic crash in Spain. This was a massive change for the Amat family. They left their friends, home and family to build a new life in the United States. The first year was rough, it affected all of them. The new language, people and culture were hard to get used to so Pablo decided to stop playing piano.

At the age of 15 he discovered a new love and appreciation for music. He started listening to big rock artists like Billy Joel and Queen. This re-awakened his love for the piano and started teaching himself the tunes. He played at every recital he could, finding a love for being on stage. After high school, he left Miami to study music at Loyola University, New Orleans. There, he studies Popular and Commercial Music and Jazz.

Today, he has worked with many local artists like Gabe Parsons, Mynthia, and Sozi. He has been writing and scoring for a lot of projects like the upcoming short film "Nothing is Lost" directed by Kieran Lizana. He is also a recording engineer in the studios at Loyola University and has started his own project playing original music with a killer band called "Uncle Jessica". All there is left to say is watch out, because he's going to rock this town!
